29th February 2012

We have put in 2 part assessments and received them back.  I did well with them but then they were quite easy.  It is good to put something in now and have it marked so we know what we are doing right or wrong.  I did much better in MYOB yesterday than I did last week.  Not as many mistakes and I think I'm finally getting my head around how it all works.  I am finding that being in a classroom setting is much better than doing it externally because you get the interaction from your class.
Today we have learnt about emailing in the workplace.  The information was very useful because it can have a huge impact in today's society with all the electronic gadgets that are around.  It is amazing how easily information can get out into the community or workplace just by using things like email and texting.

What a week!

What a week!!!  Well it is now Sunday afternoon and I'm wondering where the week has gone. Apart from attending my classes and looking after kids I had to go to Perth with my husband and 1 of my kids.  A 10 hour round trip to Perth and back in one day  isn't much fun when you get car sick reading.  It was very frustrating not being able to get any study done.
Apart from that my classes are not going too badly. I struggled through my MYOB class making a few mistakes but getting there in the end thanks to Pam.

15th February 2012
My name is Ruth and I took on this course rather suddenly.  I have been working a few hours a week looking after people with disabilities but feel I need to get back into an office environment which I have been used to.  My kids are now old enough that I can now start to work full time. To be able to get back into the workforce I have to get my qualifications up to date.

I have started a week later than the rest of the class which means that I have to do some catching up.  It is very overwhelming being back into a class situation because it has been so long and computers have changed so much.  I am now going to have to manage my time so that i can
